PostSubject: Zraqu - Prot Paladin   Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:43 pm

Name:
Zraqu

Class:
Paladin

Spec:
Main spec: Protection. Using the 5/59/7 build at the moment, but playing around to find the best spec
Offspec: Usually PvP Holy 52/19/0 build, but also have a prot/support build for OT/raid assist that I can use if needed. (13/52/6)

Armoury link:

http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Karazhan&cn=Zraqu

I know my gear is a bit sub standard for your level of raiding, but I am in the process of getting the best upgrades I can (264 bracers, weapon. 277 shoulders.) But raiding with pugs makes gearing bloody hard work.

Glyphs:

Majors
Glyph of Divine Plea: Extra 3% reduction on damage for a tank, a real must have in my eyes.
Glyph of Judgement: 10% more damage = more threat, and who would complain about that?
Glyph of Seal of Vengence: I am currently under expertise cap without this, so it makes sense to have this glyph. Will trade out should I go above the expertise cap.

Minors
Glyph of Sense Undead: Added 1% damage on undead, nice little bit of threat on a lot of the ICC mobs.
Glyph of Lay on Hands: Nice little life saver in some situations, for me as the tank, or as someone else that needa a big instant.
Glyph of Blessing of Kings: Purely depends on the other paladins in the group, but can mean less drinking when rebuffing, which is nice when you don#t have a mage around.

Professions:
450 JC: Got to love those 51 stamina gems, place, it's a money maker and can help others as well.
450 Mining: Again, it's a money maker, but also gives a very nice lump of health, which is a winner for tanks.

Why are you applying to Revenant:
I am in the process of looking for a good guild once again. Decided that a shaman just was not for me, so back to playing a tank. I saw Revenant is in need of a tank, and I would love the chance to come back and raid with you guys again.

Previous guilds:

Cold As Ice: First real raiding guild, got a taste for raiding and got hooked on it. Disbanded

Unyielding Faith: Social guild with some friends from real life. Disbanded.

Connected Therapy: Back into raiding, cleared all of the WoTLK starting content with this guild, including S3D 10 and 25. Began Ulduar with this guild as well, cleared a nice lump of it. Disbanded

Insaníty: Next step up in raiding, hardcore guild that I cleared most of ulduar with, including many of the hardmodes prenerf. Disbanded

Revenant: Friends in Insaníty told me to apply and go for it, so I did, joined just before ToC, cleared it all as it was released, along with a 10man heroic with 0 wipes. Still in Revenant to this day as an officer, cleared all of ICC 10 and 25, done all of the heroic modes except LK on 10man using various characters, and they have just begun on ICC25 hardmodes. Left for a range of reasons, main one being going back to join real life friends on Karazhan.

Abyss (Karazhan): Current guild that I was raiding with on my shaman. Summer has basically killed this guild, and the real life friends I played with have given up playing, so now I am bored and lonely on a bit of a crappy realm, left to pugging raids and mentally killing myself.

Raiding Experience:

Vanilla
None

The Burning Crusade
Karazhan - Cleared
Zul'Aman - Cleared with 3rd time chest
Tempest Keep - 3/4 Cleared
Serpentshrine Cavern 3/5 Cleared
Mount Hyjal - None
Black Temple - None
Sunwell Plataeu - None

Wrath of the Lich King
Naxxramas - Cleared on 10 and 25. Started working on mount achievements.
Ulduar - Cleared 10 and 25. Did various hardmodes prenerf, completed mount achievement on 10man. Algalon down on 10. Also got Champion of Ulduar title.
Trial of the Crusader - Cleared on 10 and 25.
Trial of the Grand Crusader - Cleared on 10 with 0 Wipes achievement. 3 down on 25.
Icecrown Citadel - Cleared on 10 and 25. Working on 10man drake.

Icecrown Citadel Heroic 10man:
First Wing - 4/4
Plague Wing - 3/4 (know tactics for Putri, almost killed him)
Blood Wing - Queen only on paladin, done both on priest.
Frostwing Halls - Killed Dreamwalker. Wiped on less than 10% on Sindragosa.

Icecrown Citadel Heroic 25man:
First Wing - Marrowgar and Gunship down. Spent nights wiping on Lady and Saurfang.
Plague Wing - Attempted Rot and Fester, no joy. Know all tactics off by heart.
Blood Wing - Never attempted, know all tactics.
Frostwing Halls - Never attempted, know all tactics.

What kind of PC and connection do you have:
Running a custom computer at the moment, runs WoW and Eve at the same time on full quality, so the specs are pretty high. Not going to bore you with the nitty gritty. 120 FPS in full raid situation with AoE going off.

Connection is a stable 4Mb/s, runs fine. 150ms at peak times.

We raid 3 times a week; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and we require people to atleast raid these days. Can you raid these days?:
Yes.
Obviously, it is that time of year when a lot of going on, and seeing as this will be the last summer I spend with my friends before we all split off to Uni and work, there may be the odd occasion I can't make a raid. I will let people know in advance and keep these instances to a minimal, but as I was told in the past, real life comes first.

Do you speak and understand English since this is the langauge spoken during raid?
Yes, I am English myself and understand it perfectly.

Can you handle critisism and do you use this to improve your general performance?
Yes, I can. So long as it is warrented and will actually help. Pointless ranting for no reason doesn't get anywhere, but some useful critisism would go down a charm, as it will help me improve.

Tell us something about yourself:
Well, not a lot to say really.
Just a standard 18 year old guy that has just finished college and will be out in the real world soon, oh the joys of that. I try to be as friendly and polite as I can be, and I am always willing to lend a hand when and where I can.

It would be a pleasure to come back and raid with you guys again, I do miss this guild, and in some aspects, I do regret leaving. Hoefully, this won't count against me, and you'll give me another chance to come tank with you guys.

Should I get accepted, I'll begin the transfer process ASAP.

Nah mate. its a proper, serious application.

If I was to get back in, as a raider, I don't want people thinking I just sneaked in on the old "hey, I used to be a guildy, can I have a re invite" card. Very Happy

I think its rather the fact that youre so used to tanking, that you have taunt on your dpsbars <3

Pfft, the person that is second only needs to worry if they are a hunter called Iwakiri Razz

I never let other people die, unless it's a certain druid on Freya :O Who said that? Razz

You too man, take care on your new realm, and good luck on there. Don't be a stranger.
